Contracts
Lead Anchor in Holme & Colne Valley
This is our core business and we are funded to support community groups in our area. The money we get is from the public sector and we are commissioned to do this work by Kirklees Council. We work closely with other lead Anchor organisations and our local Anchors - Crossroads in Meltham & Pride in Linthwaite. It funds the equivalent of a half time worker. We have also been given some extra funds to work on projects to address health inequalities. We are pleased to say this work has been recommissioned for 2024/25
Families Together
This was a contract we have got in 2023 and is currently due to run til Oct 24. We are organising events and partnership meetings to help join up the efforts of all those that support children and families across all of Rural Kirkees. We are delivering this with another community organisation from Huddersfield LS2Y. If you are working with families, children & / or young people please get in touch so we can make sure you get the event invites, and other information.
Community Champions
We will be employing people to go out into the community to talk about health issues, cost of living and activities and support for local families. It’s new work, for us, and we hope to start in the Autumn. We have a small contract for this work right now but we hope to grow this approach that has been so successful in other areas of Kirklees. We are looking to recruit a small team of freelancers to deliver this work. If you are interested in working with us let us know.
